Every donation received at our thrift store supports this mission. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Full-Time Receiving Operations Assistant to join our team.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Part-Time Receiving & Operations Assistant to join our thrift store team. This role is essential in welcoming donors, receiving donations with gratitude, and ensuring items are moved quickly and safely onto the sales floor. The Receiving & Operations Assistant is the first point of contact for many of our supporters and must demonstrate positivity, customer service, and the physical ability to handle the demands of the position.

Schedule:

Part-Time, 20- 25 hours per week Mondays and Saturdays (8:30am-330pm) Tuesday and Wednesday/ (10am-3pm)

Key Responsibilities:

Greet donors warmly, thanking them for their contributions to FLUFF's mission. Receive donated items at the thrift store drop-off area. Lift, carry, and move heavy items (furniture, boxes, bags, etc.) from vehicles into the store. Sort and organize donations for store placement or processing. Move items from receiving area onto the sales floor in a timely and safe manner. Work outdoors at times in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, sun). Keep receiving area clean, safe, and organized. Provide excellent customer service while representing FLUFF's mission and values. Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support store operations. Maintain accuracy and organization in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying physical conditions and at the peak of the day (heat, sun, rain). Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous retail, warehouse, or receiving experience a plus. Commitment to FLUFF's mission and values.
