Job Summary Simply Said is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping Clerk at our location in Rock Rapids, IA. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of products to our customers. You will collaborate closely with our warehouse team to maintain efficient shipping operations while prioritizing the satisfaction of our customers. Responsibilities Prepare and process orders for shipping accurately and efficiently Review shipment contents and verify accuracy against purchase orders, invoices, and other records Inspect and document incoming and outgoing shipments for damages or defects Ensure that all shipping materials and supplies are well-stocked and readily available Package products securely to prevent damage during transit Create shipping labels and documentation using computer software systems Coordinate with carriers and schedule shipments based on customer requirements Track and monitor deliveries to ensure timely arrival and resolve any delivery issues Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies Assist in warehouse maintenance and organization to optimize workflow Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations Collaborate with team members to improve overall shipping processes and efficiencies Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or related field preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Exceptional organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Basic computer skills, including proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Knowledge of shipping procedures, regulations, and best practices Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus About Simply Said Simply Said is dedicated to providing high-quality home décor products that inspire and bring joy to our customers.
