Shipping & Assembly Specialist R.F. Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking an entry level Shipping and Assembly Specialist to join our team in Buffalo Grove, IL.

For over 36 years, R.F. Technologies, Inc. has been one of the largest independent repair centers for wireless drive-thru equipment in the United States. With multiple strategically located repair centers, we proudly serve the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, including major brands like McDonald's, Burger King, and Taco Bell. Due to significant growth, we are seeking a Shipping and Assembly Specialist for our Buffalo Grove, IL location.

Position Summary:

The Shipping and Assembly Specialist is a cross-functional role responsible for supporting both production and operational workflows. This position will assist with electronics assembly as well as shipping and billing processes, helping ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timely completion of daily activities. This role is ideal for a flexible, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and can effectively shift priorities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Production / Assembly Support Assemble electronic components and products according to specifications, work instructions, and quality standards Perform basic testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of assembled units Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality guidelines Assist with inventory of components and materials as needed Shipping & Logistics Prepare, pack, and ship outgoing orders accurately and on time Verify order contents against packing slips and shipping documentation Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups as needed Receive and process incoming shipments Billing & Administrative Support Assist with generating invoices and processing billing transactions Verify order details, pricing, and customer information for accuracy Support documentation and recordkeeping for shipments and billing activities General / Cross-Functional Support Float between departments based on daily business needs and priorities Collaborate with team members across operations and production Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, shipping, or administrative support preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills (ERP systems, shipping software, or invoicing systems a plus) Good communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity for handling small electronic components

Work Environment:

This role operates in both a small warehouse/shipping environment and a light manufacturing/assembly setting. The position requires flexibility to move between work areas and tasks throughout the day.
