We are seeking a Shipping Associate to join our team in Gurnee, IL. We are a precision molding company that specializes in custom polyurethane products for various OEM companies since 1965.
Summary:
The Trimmer & Packer role is responsible for performing detailed hand trimming, finishing, inspection, and packaging of products to ensure all items meet quality standards. This role is heavily focused on trimming and finishing operations, requiring strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently. The associate will also assist with packing and preparing completed products for shipment while supporting daily production and shipping operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform detailed hand trimming and finishing of products according to company specifications and quality standards. Remove excess material, edges, flash, or imperfections from finished products using hand tools and trimming equipment. Inspect trimmed products for accuracy, appearance, and overall quality before packaging. Perform repetitive trimming and finishing tasks while maintaining production efficiency and consistency. Package completed products securely and accurately for shipment. Label, organize, and prepare orders for shipping. Assist with picking, packing, and verifying customer orders as needed. Maintain clean, organized, and safe trimming and packing workstations. Follow all safety procedures, production guidelines, and quality control standards. Assist with additional production, finishing, and shipping duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.
Qualifications:
Previous trimming, finishing, production, manufacturing, or packing experience preferred. Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to perform repetitive hand trimming tasks with accuracy and consistency. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Dependable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
