In this role, you will be responsible for verifying, preparing, and shipping products while ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient shipping, inventory control, and shipment processes within a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information, counts, weights, and measurements against work orders, invoices, and shipping documents Determine appropriate shipment methods and prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and documentation Inspect materials and completed shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications Maintain accurate records of materials used and shipping information Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials and shipments within the facility Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies Read and understand work orders, drawings, and customer orders prior to starting work Identify and report quality issues or discrepancies to a supervisor Inspect completed work, correct defects as needed, and ensure products meet quality standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Cross-train in other areas of the department and perform additional duties as assigned Requirements Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling preferred Ability to operate or willingness to learn forklifts and pallet jacks Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read and understand work orders and basic drawings Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Strong organizational and communication skills Commitment to quality and adherence to company procedures and safety standards
