Receiving Specialist

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming steel, components, hardware, and supplies for the fabrication facility. This role ensures materials are unloaded safely, properly tagged, and staged for production. The ideal candidate has experience working in an industrial or metal‑fabrication environment and is comfortable handling heavy materials up to 45 lbs. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments using RF scanners and pallet jacks, ensuring accurate identification and documentation of all items Operate forklifts and reach trucks safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse Conduct thorough inspections for damages or discrepancies during receipt and document findings accordingly Properly stock received items in designated locations, utilizing picking & packing procedures for efficient order fulfillment Assist with packaging products for outbound shipments, ensuring quality standards are met before dispatch Requirements Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes Valid forklift certification and experience operating reach trucks and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting Familiarity with warehouse RF scanners. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing Experience with order picking, packing, stocking, and load & unload operations in an e-commerce or distribution environment Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Join us at MISA Metal Fabricating, as a Receiving Specialist and become an essential part of our logistics team! $20.00 - $27.50 per hour
