Job Description

Shipping and Receiving Clerk ADL Dental Laboratory - 3.0 Louisville, KY Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Sweeping Packing English High school diploma or GED Dental terminology Shipping & receiving Attention to detail Dental office experience Full Job Description MicroDental Laboratories is a world-class, rapidly growing, global company with strong benefit packages and great long-term stability. We operate in over 25 locations in North America as both MicroDental Laboratories and Modern Dental Laboratory USA. With our focus on Quality, Value, and Legendary Customer Care, our Centers are devoted to building strong and lasting relationships with our dentists and their team members. We are looking for a determined, high energy, well organized individual for a position in our Shipping/Receiving Department to join our ADL location in Louisville, KY. ADL Dental Laboratory is now hiring for a full-time shipping/receiving team member. A person with a dental assistant, dental office or dental laboratory background would be beneficial, as knowing dental terminology/vocabulary is extremely helpful! Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Receiving cases coming in from dental offices and learning how to input them into the computer (this is one place where the dental terminology/vocabulary will come in).
  • Shipping cases back to dental offices upon completion (learning to use UPS Worldship on the computer).
  • Having a good knowledge of the Louisville/Southern Indiana area and surrounding counties is beneficial as you will have the responsibility of routing our drivers (contacting them with a radio) when local dental offices call in to have patient cases picked-up to be brought back to the lab.
  • You must be able to stand for your entire shift, lift, carry, etc.
  • You must be able to learn our computer systems, phone system, printers, and fax machine.
  • You must have a pleasant phone voice and a great customer service attitude as you will be responsible for answering the phones at times and transferring calls to the appropriate person(s) (this is another place where dental terminology/vocabulary would come in).
  • You must be willing to work in a flexible, ever-changing, fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task (switch from what you are working on to something else that has a higher priority, but still remember to go back and finish what you were working on). If you like to work on one project and finish it before moving on to the next one, this is not the job for you.
  • Strong attention to detail is a requirement. We receive in and ship out many cases a day and the details entered into the computer must be 100% accurate, the conversations we have with doctors and office staff must be noted with accuracy and communicated to the appropriate person(s) immediately, and we must meet time frames we commit to. Follow-up is a must.
  • You must also be very thorough along with detail-oriented. We work with a lot of very small parts and pieces. You must be able to keep track of everything and make sure we do not miss sending something or ship the wrong items.
  • During down time you may be asked to put boxes together, cut bubble wrap, sweep, clean, etc.
  • Lab hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm. There may be times when you are asked to come in early or stay late depending on current workload. Reliable transportation is a must.
  • While we do work hard we have fun as well!
