Job Description

Shipping Clerk Location:
Walton, KY Pay:
$20.00/hr
Schedule:
1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Crown Staffing is hiring in Walton, KY for a Shipping Clerk position. This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in shipping, documentation, and coordination of outgoing materials in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Job Summary:
Responsible for coordinating and processing outgoing shipments and performing associated warehouse shipping duties to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assist with loading and unloading materials and finished goods while ensuring proper handling Process all shipping orders accurately and on time Coordinate carrier pickups through 3PL systems and direct carrier contact Communicate with drivers regarding weights, placards, and BOL corrections Interact with customers via EDI (ASN, routing requests, labels, etc.) Operate sit-down forklift, electric pallet jack, and reach truck as needed Verify finished goods are approved for release Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and work instructions Train and assist team members with shipping tasks as needed Issue pick tickets and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) Complete Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and specialty customer orders Ensure accuracy of picked orders prior to shipment release Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3 years shipping clerk experience preferred 2-3 years sit-down forklift experience required Hazmat experience required Ability to read pick tickets, issue sheets, and bills of lading Basic math and computer skills
Work Environment & Safety Requirements:
Must follow all site safety procedures and PPE guidelines at all times Proper safety footwear required (steel-toe or composite-toe) Additional protective equipment may be required depending on task or area Must maintain awareness of warehouse safety conditions and follow all posted guidelines Apply today with Crown Staffing to be considered for this opportunity!
