JOB DESCRIPTION
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for the Material Control room operations. They are responsible for the timely and accurate transfer of components between the warehouse and cleanroom following standard operating procedures in the Quality System as well as transactions in the ERP system (SAP). This is a Medical Device manufacturing site compliant to 21 CFR/ISO 13485 regulations.
Responsibilities:
Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risks. Complete all assigned QMS training and keep up to date before performing a task. Operate systems and equipment such as computers, software, and printers as trained and specified. Operate warehouse equipment such as manual pallet jacks for pallet movement and Plastic Baler. Maintains work areas and equipment in a functioning, clean and orderly condition. Able to replenish the Material Control Room and prepare components for transfer to the clean room based on Kanban System. Accurate and timely ERP System (SAP) transaction of any material movement performed to support Kanban System. Prompt response to handheld portable two-way radio transceiver. Proper End of Shift tasks including but not limited to, emptying all trash bins, and accurate packaging of empty trays. Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Minimum Requirements:
No previous experience required, will be trained.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Experience in a warehouse or material handling environment. Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, work instructions and communicate effectively. Keen eye for quality. Will work collaboratively within a team and possess a positive attitude. Highly motivated, proactive problem solver, and a self-starter that can work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements (if applicable): Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30-50 lbs. Must be able to operate manual pallet jacks. Must be able to stand and bend up to 12 hours a day. Required to lift above the shoulder frequently and below the waist occasionally. Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
