Full Job Description Warehouse Receiver:
Job Overview The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for supporting all procedures and functions within the Receiving Department. This role ensures full compliance with SQF Food Safety Code, company policies, and all food and personnel safety standards. The Receiver plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform all receiving functions accurately and efficiently in accordance with Baldor policies and procedures Inspect incoming products to verify quality, condition, and compliance with food safety standards Confirm quantities and ensure all documentation aligns with purchase orders and company requirements Record and report any discrepancies, including: Overage or shortages Damaged goods Expiration dates Product temperature Trailer condition Evidence of pest activity or tampering Utilize RF scanners and warehouse systems to track and process inventory Maintain strong communication with the Receiving Supervisor regarding issues, discrepancies, or concerns Follow all Receiving SOPs and provide feedback to improve processes Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required timeframes Food Safety & Compliance Adhere to all HACCP and SQF standards Follow all company safety policies and procedures Immediately report any safety concerns, incidents, or violations Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving areas Work Schedule Must be available to work 5 days per week Standard shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Flexibility required for additional days or adjusted start times based on business needs Qualifications Experience operating an RF Scanner required Knowledge of receiving processes and produce/food handling preferred Previous warehouse experience in a food distribution environment strongly preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a cold warehouse environment (36°F - 38°F) Education High School Diploma or equivalent required
