Job Description

Help deliver accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction from the final step of the manufacturing process. At Ruland Manufacturing, shipping is more than moving boxes - it is the final quality check before our products reach customers around the world. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping Associate who takes pride in organization, accuracy, teamwork, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the day, thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is comfortable using technology to help keep operations running smoothly. You will work closely with manufacturing, customer service, and operations teams to ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time. Responsibilities Pick orders for daily shipments and weekly consolidated shipments. Bag and label parts for shipment. Use barcode scanners to organize shipments and ensure picking accuracy. Accurately count parts for shipment. Pack boxes with parts to be shipped safely and securely. Process small package and LTL shipments. Understand and follow requirements for international shipping. Organize multiple purchase orders with multiple line items for weekly consolidated shipments. Work with a variety of technologies including ERP systems, shipping software, labeling software, barcode scanners, and internal communication tools. Work directly with manufacturing and customer service teams to help maintain organized daily operations. Adapt to new technologies and associated processes. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Demonstrate a strong desire to exceed customer expectations. Contribute positively to a collaborative and team-oriented culture. Specifications Required Good math skills including the ability to work with fractions and decimals and perform basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Fluency in written and spoken English. Experience using computers and Windows-based operating systems. Customer-first mindset with an understanding of how performance metrics reflect customer satisfaction. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being on your feet throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Experience working with an ERP system such as SAP Business One. Experience using shipping software. Experience working in a high-volume shipping department with responsibilities including picking, bagging, labeling, boxing, and shipment processing. Experience working for a small to medium-sized and/or family-owned company. Desired Experience working in a local manufacturing environment. Warehouse experience. Experience working with managers in different functional areas such as customer service and operations. Ability to use metrics to identify opportunities and make process recommendations.
