Shipping Operator Position Location:
Uxbridge, MA Position Type/Schedule:
On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Compensation:
$22.75 - $24.75/ hour ( Compensation depends on skills, knowledge, education, and experience)
Position Snapshot:
The Shipping Operator independently manages daily shipping operations, ensuring accurate and timely domestic and international shipments. This role includes preparing shipping documentation, performing secure packaging of products, and processing returns in SAP. The position also involves resolving routine shipping issues and maintaining accurate records for audit readiness. Strong communication with carriers and internal teams is essential.

You are a reliable team member with a positive attitude who prefers staying active. You enjoy physical work, pay close attention to detail, and prioritize safety while completing tasks efficiently. You're approachable and customer-focused, comfortable building relationships with both teammates and partners. You bring solid basic computer skills that allow you to effectively use systems and tools needed for the role. You don't mind working in environments that may include dust, occasional fumes and varying temperatures.
A day in the life:
Independently perform all shipping functions with minimal supervision. Process domestic and international shipments, preparing all required documentation at a high level (labels, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin when required). Investigate and resolve routine shipping discrepancies; escalate systemic issues. Perform advanced packaging tasks for mechanical/electrical products and fragile goods. Process customer returns (RMA) and ensure accurate SAP postings. Communicate professionally with carriers, Customer Service, and internal teams. Maintain documentation accuracy for audit readiness and traceability. Forklift certification required (or willingness to be certified immediately). Participate in CI/5S initiatives and logistics improvement projects. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
What you will need: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs routinely. 3+ years shipping or logistics experience preferred Must have a valid driver's license. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong proficiency in SAP (shipping transactions, labels, documentation). Strong written/verbal communication skills. Reliable decision-making across daily shipping activities. Basic knowledge of carrier requirements (UPS/FedEx/LTL). Ability to obtain medical DOT card & operate a box truck is a plus.
