Job Description

Savvy Staffing is currently hiring a 1st shift Shipping and Receiving associate in Westborough, MA.
Schedule:
7:00 AM- 3:30
PM Pay Range:
$21- $23/HR Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving II associate to support daily warehouse operations. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement of materials and finished goods, ensuring all shipments and receipts meet company standards and customer requirements. This is a mid-level position ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
Key Responsibilities Shipping:
Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments Complete and verify shipping documents (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.) Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and resolve issues Accurately enter shipment data into inventory systems
Receiving:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage Verify items against purchase orders and packing slips Report and document discrepancies Maintain organized and safe receiving areas
Inventory & Documentation:
Track and record all inbound and outbound transactions Assist with cycle counts and inventory reconciliation Communicate any inventory issues to leadership
Warehouse Operations:
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners (certification required where applicable) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Follow standard operating procedures and support process improvements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1-3 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer skills (inventory systems, Microsoft Office) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP/WMS systems Familiarity with shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx) Forklift or material handling certification Experience with inventory control or cycle counting Work Environment On-site warehouse setting with varying temperatures Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and handling of materials Growth Opportunity This position offers a pathway to roles such as Shipping & Receiving Lead, Inventory Control Specialist, or Warehouse Supervisor based on performance and experience.
