Shipping Associate

Robert Half Shipping Associate Westminster, MA Apply Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our team in Westminster, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of our shipping and logistics processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping functions, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
• Collaborate with material handlers and production teams to coordinate shipment preparation.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, and packaging standards for outgoing shipments.
• Stage shipments according to the daily shipping schedule and ensure readiness for carrier pickup.
• Operate company shipping systems and ensure compliance with customer packaging requirements.
• Communicate with carriers to arrange pickups and shipping schedules effectively.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation in alignment with company procedures.
• Assist with inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Support logistics team in resolving shipment issues and meeting on-time delivery goals.
• Follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and identify opportunities to improve shipping processes. Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping or ERP systems is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external carriers.
• Knowledge of shipping procedures and compliance standards.
• Steel-toed boots are required for navigating the warehouse safely.
