Who We Are:

AfricanAncestry.com is an e-commerce company that uses DNA to reconnect Black people around the world to their roots. We sell DNA test kits used to tell them exactly which African countries and ethnic groups they share ancestry with. Every order you pack and ship is going to someone discovering a piece of their heritage. This job matters.

The Work:

You will handle the full cycle of getting our test kits to customers and managing returns. That means organizing orders, picking products, printing shipping labels using ShipStation, packing orders so they arrive perfect, keeping inventory organized, and updating order statuses in Shopify. You'll work closely with our customer service team to coordinate special shipping requests and fix issues. You also handle kit assembly and inventory counts when needed.

What We're Looking For:

You've done fulfillment work before (at least 2 years). You catch mistakes before they happen. You resolve issues effectively. You're comfortable with Excel and learning web-based platforms like Shopify and ShipStation. You're familiar with MacOS. You can lift 20 pounds and stand for a few hours at a time, if necessary. You show up reliably and you care about accuracy. You have your own transportation to downtown Bethesda.

Downtown Bethesda, MD (in-person only)

Hours:

20-25 hours per week, flexible scheduling within business hours

Pay:

$18-$20 per hour, based on your experience
