Shipping and Receiving Associate Hours

Position Summary:

Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing shipments with accuracy and efficiency. Prepare product for shipment, prepare shipping documents and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received. Basic understanding of dock, and warehouse procedures. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft products and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.

Essential Functions:

Inspect and record all incoming deliveries using a scanner Prepare accurate shipping documents Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments Process orders based on the customer's preferred shipping system (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) Contact carrier and schedule shipping when necessary Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed Cross-check shipments to ensure accuracy Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs Load and unload trucks with outgoing and incoming products

Position Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Development Grand Haven Custom Molding issued forklift certification Successfully completed 90-day probationary period in current position before applying. Forklift experience preferred Strong attention to detail Experience working in a fast-paced environment with constant interaction with operators, technicians and equipment Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis Good communication skills Available for overtime based on customer demands Ability to work as part of a team Positive attitude Position reports to Warehouse Coordinator
