Receiving Coordinator Confidential Grand Rapids, MI 49503 Full-time Full-time Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, team-oriented Receiving Coordinator to support the flow of materials throughout our manufacturing operation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring incoming shipments are received accurately, inspected for quality and specification compliance, and distributed efficiently to production drop zones. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to learn multiple areas of the operation. What We Value Team-first attitude Reliability and accountability Willingness to learn and grow Flexibility and adaptability Pride in quality and accuracy Commitment to helping others succeed Responsibilities Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips ensuring accuracy and completeness. Inspect incoming materials for damage, quality standards, and specification accuracy. Coordinate and prioritize the movement of materials to designated production drop zones. Maintain organized receiving, staging, and storage areas to support efficient workflow and safety. Communicate shipment discrepancies, shortages, or quality concerns to the quality and purchasing teams. Maintain accurate inspection documentation and records of received goods in inventory ERP system. Assist in developing and improving receiving and quality procedures. Cross train in inventory control processes, including cycle counts and material tracking. Cross train on hardware pulling and preparation of production materials to be able to fill in as needed. Purchase and maintain stocking levels of non-inventory markets for general production supplies. Support inventory accuracy through proper labeling, staging, and storage practices. Participate in warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with material handling, inventory, production, and purchasing teams. Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to help in multiple departments when needed. Learn new systems, processes, and responsibilities to support overall operational success. Contribute to a culture of accountability, flexibility, and teamwork. Qualifications/Skills Previous receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to verify specifications accurately. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment. Comfortable working across multiple floors and moving materials throughout the facility. Basic computer and inventory system skills preferred. Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus (or willingness to be trained). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials regularly (up to 50 lbs. as required). Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a multi-floor manufacturing facility for extended periods. Comfortable operating material handling equipment and working in an active warehouse/manufacturing environment. Use of hands and arms for handling, gripping, and operating equipment Must be able to follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in required areas
