Job Description

Shipping & Receiving Employees report directly to the Plant Manager. Position Summary Shipping & Receiving employees are responsible for the accurate shipping and receiving of quality product in the most efficient manner possible while keeping accurate inventory and delivering raw materials to the production floor. General Duties of the Shipping & Receiving Employee
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in the items shipped and received.
  • Know the condition and quantity of the items being shipped and received.
  • Maintain all equipment used in the warehouse.
  • Notify the Plant Manager of any problems or questions with equipment.
  • Keep the warehouse area clean, neat, and organized.
  • Package product in a manner that will ensure its safety during shipping.
  • Store items on the floor in an organized way and in accordance with FIFO.
  • Conduct cycle counts of inventory and assist in conducting each complete physical inventory count.
  • Complete final check on shipments that are prepared by team members.
  • Retrieve and issue roll stock, supplies and other materials for PA's using FIFO methods.
  • Receive returned roll stock materials from production floor; inspect and ensure the returned footage and MSI counts are accurate and return to inventory locations.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory for efficient material storage and handling while maintaining labeling system on each stock item.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage time.
  • Work with office staff as a team, and with respect. Required Training
  • A minimum of four weeks of hands-on training with a current Advantage Label employee assisting or observing. Then continue to work side-by-side until checklist is signed off.
  • Training on each of the following procedures: Pr-4.2-02, Pr-7.4-01, Pr-7.4-02, Pr-7.5-02, Pr-7.5-03, Pr-8.3-01, Pr-8.5-01 Required Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired Required Experience
  • Past experience with Forklift driving is desired. Required Skills
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and typing experience.
  • Strong organizational skills are desired.
