Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for processing, checking, verifying, and inventorying materials received. Completes related computer entries and documentation. Coordinates materials and finished goods storage and inventory levels with production personnel. Moves materials and finished goods to appropriate storage areas. Ensures shipping and receiving functions are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior shipping/receiving experience helpful. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer systems is helpful. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receives and inspects incoming shipments for discrepancies and damages and reports problems promptly to the appropriate person. Prepares items accurately for shipment according to customer orders/instructions by retrieving from the warehouse, packaging, weighing on a scale and documenting correct shipment details. Stores materials and supplies in the warehouse in accordance with company policies and procedures. Conducts weekly cycle counts on inventories of materials and finished goods. Ensures all goods are appropriately packaged and labeled before storage Maintains an adequate supply of shipping materials, including boxes, packing materials, and labels.Physical Demands:
