This role performs a combination of material handling, shipping, and receiving duties to ensure raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods are received, stored, transferred, and shipped correctly and safely. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting on-time delivery, and keeping production areas supplied with the materials they need. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list is not all-inclusive and may be expanded as business needs require. Responsible for the day-to-day movement of materials between buildings on campus (including loading scrap metal, unloading and relocating skids, unloading/supplying pallet boxes, etc.) Prepare outbound shipments, including picking, packing, labeling and palletizing Load and unload delivery trucks safely and securely Inventory and space management Perform routine cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods and assist with inventory accuracy and reconciliation efforts Support cross-training and assist other departments as needed Preventative maintenance checks on fork trucks Required Qualifications Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Demonstrated ability to follow both verbal and written directions Ability to work independently with little direction Ability to read work orders, packing slips, and shipping documents Demonstrated attention to detail General computer knowledge with typing capabilities Understanding of First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory movement Cass Precision Machining is a values-based organization. Preferred Qualifications One to two years' experience working in a warehouse/machining setting Class B Driver's License, or willingness and ability to obtain Class B within a reasonable timeframe after hire
