Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage the receiving and inspection of incoming materials, issue raw materials and packaging to production, prepare finished goods for shipment, and maintain accurate inventory records. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and production processes. Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring they meet purchase orders and specifications. Issue raw materials and packaging to production, maintaining accurate inventory. Prepare and package finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to shipping requirements. Operate machinery for packaging and troubleshoot any issues that arise with packaging machinery. Perform cycle counts and inventory transactions to maintain accurate inventory records. Inspect test tubes to ensure correct lot dates are listed. Trim seals with scissors for flat edges, and package blister cards into individual boxes. Seal boxes, place them in larger boxes, and then arrange them onto pallets. Operate forklifts, motorized and manual pallet jacks, and pallet-wrapping equipment safely. Essential Skills Attention to detail is crucial. Proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading in English. Experience in shipping and receiving, general labor, forklift operation, packing, inventory control, picking, and logistics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with receiving and inventory control. Ability to verify incoming shipments and inspect materials for damage. Work Environment This role is based in a production/factory environment, where 60% of the work involves standing, and 40% allows for sitting. The position involves using various machinery and equipment such as forklifts, motorized and manual pallet jacks, and pallet-wrapping equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Le Sueur, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.25/hr.
