Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to efficiently manage the flow of materials within our warehouse and storage facilities. This role involves ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and plays a critical part in maintaining our inventory system. Responsibilities Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities from racks, trucks, or containers. Receive materials and verify against packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders for accuracy. Count or weigh parts to check quantity accuracy and collaborate with Purchasing to address discrepancies. Pick parts for shipment, package according to shipping procedures, and complete necessary paperwork. Pull and issue raw inventory, delivering it to production as required. Execute transactions in the business system to ensure correct storage locations and quantities. Safely use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and carts. Deliver materials to departments as requested or according to planned production schedules. Monitor inventory accuracy and proactively conduct daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks. Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to management. Collaborate with Quality Control for receipt and inspection of incoming materials, ensuring proper tracking. Perform production assembly operations on an as-needed basis. Essential Skills Proficiency with forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, and material handling. Ability to work with ERP systems and general logistics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Computer savvy with experience in ERP systems. Production assistance and order staging expertise. Capability to bring parts to lines efficiently. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our work environment is a very clean and organized shop, well-lit and temperature-controlled. You'll be working with a small team of 3-4 people to manage the inventory and warehouse side of the business, supported by excellent documentation, training, and processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
