Hours:
8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday We're seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate in Kansas City, MO to join a growing team in a unique cave warehouse environment. This 1st shift, Monday to Friday opportunity is ideal for someone with shipping and receiving experience, forklift skills, and strong computer proficiency who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and keeping warehouse operations running smoothly. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and have experience with carrier shipping systems, inventory, and material handling, this could be the perfect fit. Shipping and Receiving Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Process outbound shipments by creating shipping labels, packing slips, and carrier documentation using shipping software and computer systems
- Coordinate daily UPS and freight shipments to ensure timely delivery of customer orders
- Verify shipment information, quantities, and documentation for accuracy prior to shipping
- Receive incoming materials and verify deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders
- Enter shipping and receiving information into warehouse and inventory management systems
- Prepare products for shipment by labeling, scanning, packaging, and staging materials for carrier pickup
- Track shipments and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
- Communicate with warehouse personnel, drivers, and carriers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, stage, load, and unload materials safely
- Assist with inventory counts, inventory verification, and general warehouse activities as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company safety procedures and OSHA standards
Shipping and Receiving Associate Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- General computer skills required
- Must have experience shipping and using computers for carrier pick-up
- Prior forklift experience required
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently bend, stoop, and move throughout the day
- Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
