Operations Associate-Shipping Clerk

Read's Uniforms is a locally owned & rapidly growing company specializing in public safety, medical, education, and hospitality uniforms. Our decoration and fulfillment center in Asheville services our 20+ retail stores and the public safety communities of 8 states. We are seeking an associate to work one of our shipping stations in the Asheville warehouse. The job includes inspecting completed products, organizing and packaging orders, and shipping orders to their final destination. A successful candidate will be a detail-oriented critical thinker who has a good memory. He/she will be project minded, get satisfaction from completing tasks efficiently. We will teach you everything you need to know about the uniform industry, embroidery, alterations, and anything else that might come up! The shift is 8:30-5:00 pm Monday-Friday There is flexibility based on need once you are established. We are very team oriented; there will be times when a shipping team member works in receiving and vice versa. We are looking for a team player open to any task that is required to satisfy our customers' needs. Overtime is sometimes offered and is seasonally required. We are growing, this job could be a jumping off point for the right person to grow within the company. People who start in the warehouse and learn the business from the ground up are in a great position to fill a larger role as they come available. Responsibilities Distribute and organize orders as they exit decorations. Prepare and inspect outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality. Process orders and package them for shipment. Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet deadlines.
