Job Description

If you enjoy staying organized, keeping materials moving, and being the person everyone can count on, this role is a great fit for you. The Materials Clerk supports all material movement throughout the facility — from shipping and receiving to staging parts for production, fabrication, customer orders, chemical operations, and full car wash builds. You'll help ensure materials flow accurately and efficiently, maintain clean and organized inventory areas, communicate needs with the team, and keep our ERP data up to date so daily operations run smoothly. Every day brings something different, and your work directly supports the success of our production teams and customers. Responsibilities Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and creating UPS/FedEx/freight documentation. Verify shipment accuracy by checking quantities, addresses, and required paperwork. Receive inbound materials and match deliveries to purchase orders. Enter received items into the ERP system and report discrepancies or damaged goods. Put away incoming materials promptly while maintaining clean and organized storage areas. Pick parts for customer orders and car wash components using sales orders and pick lists. Pick and stage all components required for full car wash builds with a high level of accuracy. Review BOMs, pick lists, and sales orders to ensure builds include all required parts. Monitor open sales orders and identify items ready for picking or shipping as materials arrive. Create shipping labels and ensure proper packaging of all outgoing shipments. Support chemical material handling, including downstacking, organizing, and staging chemical inventory. Assist with chemical blending preparation and support customer chemical order fulfillment as needed. Maintain organization and inventory accuracy within chemical storage and blending areas. Keep bins, shelves, and inventory areas organized to support efficient picking and accurate counts. Communicate shortages, delivery issues, or missing components to the Materials Coordinator or Operations. Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and resolving inventory discrepancies. Support improvements to picking processes, inventory flow, chemical material handling, and storage organization. Collaborate with Production, Fabrication, Operations, and Chemistry teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Maintain accurate and timely ERP entries for all material transactions. Qualifications Experience in materials handling, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory support preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory processes. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, picking, and material handling. Ability to maintain clean, organized, and efficient storage areas. Ability to read and follow pick lists, BOMs, and related documentation. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Ability to safely handle and organize chemical materials while following PPE and safety requirements. Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout warehouse, chemical, and production areas. Regular lifting, carrying, and handling of materials up to 25-35 lbs. Use of hands and fingers for picking, labeling, packaging, scanning, blending support, and computer entry. Occasional bending, reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders to access materials. Ability to work safely in manufacturing and warehouse environments and follow required PPE guidelines.
