Full Job Description Shipping/Receiving Clerk Employee Responsibilities:
Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles. Making deliveries in a box truck as needed Accepting delivery of inventory. Counting and confirming inventory. Inspecting inventory for damage and faults. Communicating errors to relevant parties. Marking and labeling stock. Storing inventory in an accessible manner. Loading and wrapping stock on pallets. Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack. Paperwork deliveries for the day. Shipping shipments through UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager. Take inventory to production within 30 minutes of receiving tickets. Communicate to Lead and Manager daily, address concerns. Positive attitude and ability to maintain solid attendance. Performing physical labor such as lifting boxes and moving inventory to storage areas. Work overtime as needed. Problem solve while multi-tasking and being detail oriented. Work with other warehouse employees to complete tasks in a timely manner. Plan the shipping day for the following day. Misc. Admin Any other task your lead or manager deems necessary. High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of shipping/receiving and warehouse experience; prior lead or trainer experience preferred. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) and demonstrated safe equipment operation. Working knowledge of shipping documentation and carrier processes; experience with LTL/parcel shipments preferred. Proficiency with computers/scanners and accurate recordkeeping; ERP/WMS experience a plus. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Ability to lift/push/pull materials as required and work in a fast-paced, production environment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
