Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping/Receiving Clerk-Lead, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient receiving, organizing, inventory and movement of materials and tools within the tool room and inventory yard. As a key team member, you'll foster a safe, organized, and productive environment while supporting the overall success of our distribution processes. Responsibilities Unloading trucks alone and with others; both by hand and/or with multiple styles/sizes of forklifts and overhead cranes. Unloading will be from (but not limited) flat beds, box vans, and parcel trucks. Inspect items for damage, correct sizes, shapes, and dimensions. Document that items are either correct or if incorrect, contact the proper suppliers and rectify the problem. Label and move items to proper locations (job areas, inventory, hold areas, etc.).   • this will be both electronic and manual documents.
Perform daily counts of items to ensure physical counts match electronic records. Complete SMRF's and turn into supervisor daily. After performing counts, provide list of reorder items in daily. Update electronically inventory & reorder programs daily before leaving. Address inventory discrepancies and resolve with management. Use best judgement / practices of handling and storage of items. Provide consumables to shop floor personnel. Items must be appropriately charged out to jobs. Items must also be properly marked for use (stainless or carbon). Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English. Maintain regular attendance and timeliness on a consistent basis. Conduct business and interactions with a positive attitude that projects the highest level of professionalism. Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read & write to a level of understanding and process paperwork as required for this position. Ability to interpret drawings, work orders, & requisitions to properly check items. Ability to understand basic math formulas such are circumferences, tolerances, weight conversions, etc. Basic computer skills including, but not limited to: MS office, email, Viewpoint, and the company's storage procedures on the server. Training will be provided to the employee as needed.

Provide consumable and materials to shop floor personnel in a timely manner. Ability to work both inside & outside during all weather conditions that may be experienced at this job site. If bad weather is possible, employee must seek the proper shelter immediately and wait for the passing of the weather condition. Employees will be working outside year-round and must wear the proper clothing to perform the tasks.
