Job Description

The Rubber Group is looking for a full time Shipping and Receiving Associate at our Laconia, NH Plant Please send your resume via Indeed or to tthibault@rubber-group.com Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through accurate and efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments. Essential/Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Following all health and safety requirements, safety policy and company policy. Report any observed violation to the superior or hazardous situation to the Safety Committee Coordinate and assist unloading delivered material from trailer trucks and package delivery services Loading/unloading trucks, using forklifts and other material handling equipment to safety requirements Process delivery papers and verify the delivery quantity does match the provided papers and enter data into the ERP system Ensure delivered material is processed to final location and stored to product specific requirements Interact with Production & QC to ensure all incoming/documentation requirements are met Drive planned customer orders to be delivered in time, monitored by the daily shipping log and supported by the ERP system Prepare Customer orders by accurately pull stock for orders from inventory and from hand fabrication for customer orders, Prepare bill of lading, package, and label product specific to customer requirements Coordinate the product outgoing shipment and ensure delivery dates are met Coordinate with co-workers the shipping department is available to receive and ship material and products between 8:00am and 5:00pm Process Domestic and International shipments through UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc. websites Interact with Customer Service to ensure all shipping/documentation requirements are met. Inform customers when shipments are made and provide tracking and bill of lading Work closely with co-workers to help each other to make sure the day's tasks are done for both shipping and receiving. Inventory control includes processing inventory, cycle counts where applicable and record maintenance. Organizing shipping floor to accommodate daily workflow. General warehouse upkeep for a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thoughtful, fair, and even-handed temperament Team oriented Follow product specific receiving and shipping requirements Computer literate - good computer skills Ability to multitask, and follow custom specific requirements for shipping Ability to read, understand and follow written work instruction Ability to perform basic mathematical computation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Ability to communicate issues Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School or equivalent 2 years shipping/receiving experience preferred but not necessary, including UPS, FedEx, and other Freight Forwarders Forklift certified - highly skilled (tight spaces) Physical fit
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
