Shipping & Receiving Clerk Location:

6:00AM-6:00PM, 12 hours on 2-2-3 schedule Reports to: Production Supervisor The Shipping & Receiving Clerk supports manufacturing operations by handling incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate documentation, proper labeling, and timely processing of shipments. This role helps maintain organized storage areas, supports material flow, and works closely with production and logistics teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists with receiving materials by unloading trucks, verifying quantities, and checking for damage or accuracy. Adheres to health, safety, and food quality regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP, FDA, SQF) Supports shipping by preparing orders, packaging products, and staging shipments for pickup. Prepares basic shipping documents such as bills of lading and packing lists Coordinates with carriers, drivers, and internal teams for pickups and deliveries Follows procedures for labeling, documentation, and inventory tracking to ensure accuracy. Assists with operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently. Supports cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities to maintain accurate stock levels. Works with peers to train and develop training materials. Performs other duties as assigned.
Maintaining clean, orderly storage areas and ensuring proper product placement.
Equipment Operation:
Safely using pallet jacks, forklifts, scanners, and other warehouse tools (if certified).
Communication:
Coordinating with drivers, carriers, supervisors, and other departments to keep workflow smooth.
Computer Skills:
Using inventory software, barcode systems, and Microsoft Office for tracking and reporting.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred.
Professional certifications or lincences preferred:
Forklift (or ability to obtain after hire).
