Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where your energy and precision will drive the smooth flow of goods through our shop. In this vital role, you will coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. Your proactive approach will help us maintain seamless operations, support order fulfillment, and uphold high standards of safety and organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of a fast-paced distribution environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Receive inbound shipments by accurately unloading trucks using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or delivery documentation using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accuracy. Store products systematically in designated warehouse locations, utilizing stock management techniques to optimize space and accessibility. Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders with precision, employing order pickers, packaging tools, and RF scanners to meet customer specifications. Load outbound shipments onto trucks efficiently while ensuring proper securing of pallets and cargo for safe transportation. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using warehouse management systems like AS400 or MRP software to maintain accurate stock levels. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety standards and operational procedures for load & unload activities, stocking, and order fulfillment. Qualifications Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or MRP software is highly desirable. Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately. Experience with e-commerce order picking & packing processes is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and organization.
