The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing routine Shipping & Receiving tasks that are including but not limited to, managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility, including receiving, storing and preparing shipments while maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient operations in a team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders
• Document and record incoming and outgoing shipments
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damages or shortages
• Store received items in designated areas ensuring proper inventory management
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks and other equipment as needed
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and accurately
• Print and affix shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation
• Loan and secure shipments onto trucks or container
• Maintain accurate inventory records, using computer systems
• Communicate with suppliers, customers and other departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using computer systems including but not limited to

UPS & LTL

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and practices.
