Mon-Fri 6am-3pm Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the operational efficiency of our facility. In this role, you will manage administrative functions, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. This position requires strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments—including Operations, HR, Safety, and Quality—with a strong emphasis on logistics and warehouse operations support. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Financial Administration Develop and manage purchase orders (POs) in alignment with site needs and budgetary guidelines. Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, ensuring proper documentation and approvals utilizing current systems. Purchase site supplies in accordance with internal processes and approvals. Employee Coordination & Support Serve as the initial point of contact for contract employees and coordinate with multiple staffing agencies regarding onboarding, scheduling, and general inquiries. Collaborate closely with operations to ensure staffing levels and schedules align with logistics demands. Assist with timekeeping and payroll reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to HR/payroll teams and outside agencies. Employee Engagement & Communication Support employee engagement initiatives, including site events, recognition programs, and feedback collection. Manage and assist with site-wide communications, including bulletin boards, newsletters, and digital signage. Safety & Compliance Track and report safety metrics, incidents, and compliance documentation in coordination with the Safety team. Maintain records and assist with audits and inspections, focusing heavily on Distribution Center safety protocols and warehouse compliance. Collaboration & Leadership Support Partner with site leadership (HR, Safety, and Quality) to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure smooth overall operations. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and logistics managers to align administrative support with daily operational goals. Security & Systems Management Administer the site's security badging system, including the issuance, tracking, and deactivation of access badges. Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of all employee and site data. General Administrative Duties Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining files, ordering supplies, and welcoming visitors. Support other distribution sites as needed with similar administrative tasks to ensure business continuity. Take on additional duties as assigned to support site operations and leadership.
Qualifications Experience:
Proven experience in an administrative support, site coordination, or office management role (experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is a plus).
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with purchase order (PO) systems, payroll/timekeeping platforms, and safety reporting tools. Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Soft Skills:
