Responsible for receipt of all receipts and shipments from the Company. Receives material within the system making sure all required documentation is present and the counts are accurate while ensuring that customer orders are shipped on-time and error free to the customer. Communicates any issues with missed shipments internally to ensure that customers are alerted.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same. Completes all paperwork pertaining to shipments and receipts. Uses an RF scan gun to complete inventory transactions as needed to receive goods and process shipments. Properly stores or prepares shipments to and from the Company according to established procedures. Inspects, verifies quality and quantity of received goods using prescribed criteria. Prepares materials for outbound shipment to Sub-Contractors as necessary Checks to assure all labels on containers match material described on packing slip and SAP. Load/Unloads trucks after ensuring trailer wheels are checked and safe before loading. Ensures carriers Bill of Lading corresponds to freight being delivered, and notate any damage which may have occurred during transit on the BOL/Delivery Receipt. Assists in unloading freight and taking to storage Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications & Experience:
High School Diploma, GED required; logistics training/education a plus Possesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment. Experience working in a warehouse environment safely operating facility material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jacks, automated storage & retrieval systems, carousel) and picking and packing equipment (e.g. scanner, scale, tape machine). Ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced work environment. Strong math skills and attention to detail. Hands on experience working within a shipping department is a plus. Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word). Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends. Ability to work independently and in a team environment to deliver results.
