Job Description

Job Summary The Shipping Clerk contributes to on-time delivery performance by coordinating parcel shipments, scheduling carrier pickups, and collaborating with internal shipping and logistics personnel. Additionally, the position assists with inventory control activities to help maintain warehouse accuracy and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Shipping Operations Process daily parcel shipments using StarShip software. Prepare labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and required documents. Verify shipment accuracy for product, quantity, weight, and destination. Package materials to company standards for safe transit. Schedule pickups and deliveries with approved carriers. Track shipments and address delays or delivery issues. Delivery Coordination & Performance Coordinate with LTL Shipping Clerk to align parcel and freight shipments. Partner with Shipping Coordinator to prioritize orders and meet deadlines. Monitor shipping schedules and adjust to meet commitments. Support initiatives to achieve 100% on-time delivery performance. Communicate shipment status and escalate issues as needed. Inventory Control Support Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Support material movements, staging, and location accuracy. Ensure proper system transactions for shipping and inventory activity. Maintain organized and accurate inventory records. General Warehouse & Administrative Duties Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Support continuous improvement in shipping and inventory processes. Assist with documentation, reporting, and data entry.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Experience:
Shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations experience required. Ability to

Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Use of hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computers. Ability to see and hear in a manufacturing environment. Tolerance for working near machinery, noise, and industrial equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed on a production floor.
