Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and logistics sector, is seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join their team. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be an integral part of the warehouse operations supporting the logistics team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Shipping and receiving associates are responsible for all items entering and leaving the facility. This role works closely with the Logistics Manager, Quality, and Operations to ensure on-time delivery of product and correctly received and distributed product. This position requires attention to detail, ability to follow written instructions, and strong communication and time management skills. This position will temporarily perform the responsibilities of a material handler.
RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Shipping a) Creating shipping labels and packing slips using the ERP system and carrier software b) Manage documentation for customer shipments and carrier - required documents c) Pick and package shipments to protect customer parts and ensure timely deliveries d) Read, understand, and execute specific packaging instructions e) Maintain cleanliness and order of department 2. Receiving a) Receive materials and products into the facility and inform relevant parties b) Track received items in the ERP system and accurately record quantities and details c) Perform basic incoming inspections and maintain certifications as needed d) Distribute items to their proper floor locations as required 3. Quality Assurance a) Visually inspect and count parts prior to shipment b) Identify and report defects regarding parts and materials c) Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent​
  • Experience in manufacturing or shipping/receiving environment preferred
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Experience with courier software (FedEx, UPS, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with tow motors preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • ​Reliable transportation​
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform push/pull, bending, and lifting tasks, and keyboarding
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds with equipment
  • Attention to detail and able to read and comprehend instructions
  • Time management and organizational skills
