Position Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurate receipt, verification, documentation, and initial disposition of inbound materials supporting manufacturing operations for industrial snow plows and related equipment. This role ensures that all incoming materials are properly identified, counted, inspected, and transacted in JD Edwards (JDE) 9.2 to maintain inventory accuracy and prevent production disruptions. The Receiving Clerk works closely with Purchasing, Inventory Control, Quality, and Production to ensure material availability and data integrity. Essential Functions of the
Job:
Receiving & Verification Performs receiving duties, such as receiving all materials and check for quality and quantity as called for by purchase orders and corresponding packing lists; distribute materials to proper locations; coordinate and organize paperwork such as shipping lists, packing lists, and purchase orders. Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base. Receive inbound raw materials, components, purchased parts, and supplies Verify received quantities and part numbers against purchase orders and packing lists Identify and report damage, incorrect, or non‑conforming materials per established procedures Ensure received material is properly labeled and staged for inspection, storage, or production use Ensure compliance with ISO Standards. ERP Transactions & Documentation Perform all receiving transactions accurately in JD Edwards (JDE) 9.2, including receipts and corrections Ensure receiving documentation is complete, accurate, and timely Coordinate with Purchasing and Inventory Control to resolve receiving discrepancies Maintain traceability and documentation required for audits and inventory control Safety, Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely Maintain clean, organized, and clearly identified receiving and staging areas Follow all safety, quality, and material handling procedures Identify opportunities to improve receiving accuracy, throughput, and material flow efficiency Other Duties Provide backup support to Shipping, Inventory Control, or Material Handling as required Assist with receiving‑related audits or process improvement initiatives Perform other duties as assigned by Materials leadership Performance Expectations Accurate and timely receipt of materials No production delays caused by receiving errors or late transactions High data integrity between physical inventory and JDE records Consistent adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Working knowledge of receiving and material handling processes in a manufacturing environment Experience using an ERP system; JD Edwards (JDE) 9.2 preferred Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing lists, and part numbers Competence operating standard warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) Effective communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally Must have the ability to implement and maintain the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the shipping and receiving department. Requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes. Able to work overtime and/or including weekends as production scheduled dictate.
