Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Gate Clerk to manage entry and exit operations at our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth shipping logistics, inventory management, and compliance with trade regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, and reach trucks. The Gate Clerk will serve as the first point of contact for inbound and outbound shipments, supporting efficient order fulfillment and inventory control. Duties Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments using warehouse management systems (ERP, AS400, MRP) and RF scanners Coordinate with warehouse staff to facilitate order picking, packing, and loading/unloading activities Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards during shipping & receiving processes Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts to move stock safely within the facility Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, stock levels, and shipment details Assist with order fulfillment tasks including picking & packing orders for e-commerce or distribution channels Manage stock levels by stocking shelves efficiently and ensuring proper placement of goods Support shipping logistics by preparing documentation for domestic and international shipments Monitor safety procedures around warehouse distribution areas to prevent accidents Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize warehouse operations Experience Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution centers preferred Familiarity with warehouse management systems (ERP systems, AS400) and MRP software Experience operating reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and trade compliance tools is advantageous Knowledge of international trade regulations and packaging standards is a plus Basic math skills for inventory counting and order calculations Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards This role offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient warehouse operations while developing expertise in logistics technology and international trade compliance.
Pay:
$23.48 - $28.27 per hour
