Shipping And Receiving Material Handler

Description Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers. Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping to appropriate area. Drive a box rental truck with a Valid Driver's License and no violations on their Motor Vehicle Record. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
