Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Our client, a cold storage and logistics company, is looking for an Inbound/Outbound Checker to join their team in Philadelphia, PA . In this role, you will serve as a key quality control point in the warehouse, verifying the accuracy and condition of incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining precise inventory records in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cross-reference incoming deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, and bills of lading to verify correct products, quantities, and pack sizes Inspect cargo and packaging for visible damage, leaks, or defects; reject and isolate compromised or expired goods in designated areas Accurately log received goods including batch/lot numbers, product codes, and physical conditions into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Promptly report overages, shortages, or damaged items to supervisors or the purchasing department for corrective action Label and mark pallets and items with appropriate tracking codes and bin locations Direct warehouse and receiving teams to proper storage locations Adhere to all safety procedures and OSHA standards, including hazardous materials handling where applicable

Requirements:

Prior warehouse, receiving, or logistics experience required Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry Ability to identify and communicate discrepancies in a timely manner Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper handling procedures Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
