THE ROLE
The Shipping & Receiving Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments at our facility. You will handle receiving, verifying, and delivering shipments across the site, perform key data entry to track materials, prepare outbound packages (including large freight), and maintain workspace organization and safety. In this critical role, you will use your attention to detail and communication skills to ensure inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Receive incoming shipments, verify contents for completeness and accuracy, and deliver to the appropriate personnel or location Enter shipment information and resolve discrepancies in customer secure management system Prepare outbound packages, including large freight shipments (stretch-wrapping and banding pallets), ensuring all required paperwork and documentation are completed Safely lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 pounds) and operate a pallet jack Utilize FedEx Shipping interfaces (experience is a plus) Communicate issues effectively in both oral and written terms with customers and co-workers Maintain a clean and orderly work area, remove empty pallets, organize workstation at the end of the day, and respond to emails Use general Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc.) for daily tasks Adhere to best practices regarding industrial hygiene and workplace safety Perform basic mathematical calculations as requiredQUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent with prior shipping and receiving experience Additional education in Supply Chain or related fields is a plus Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic Extremely dependable and productivity minded; able to work with minimal supervision Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple competing priorities Strong computer skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel or similar software Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Highly organized and assertive; able to work effectively with diverse team members in a collaborative environmentDAY IN THE LIFE
In this role, you'll spend most of your time in a warehouse and shipping environment. Physical demands include frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs.), standing, moving, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
