Job Description
WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Receiver is responsible for accurately receiving, verifying, and processing incoming materials and shipments. This role supports the flow of goods by scanning documents, organizing shipping paperwork, staging materials, and ensuring items are delivered to the appropriate internal departments. The Receiver works closely with Supply Chain, Quality, and various vendors to maintain smooth daily operations. Administrative & Document Handling - 20%- 5% — Scan files to email: Scan incoming documents, packing slips, and receipts and send them to designated email folders or recipients.
- 5% — File management: Drag and store files from email into appropriate digital file folders.
- 10% — Email monitoring: Check email periodically for returns, purchase orders (POs), or documents requiring processing. Receiving & Dock Operations - 50%
- 30% — Bring in inbound shipments: Retrieve incoming FedEx, UPS, Grainger, Staples, and other vendor boxes from the dock.
- 10% — Receive shipments from trucks: Receive and verify goods delivered by carriers such as Duie Pyle, Brenntag, and others throughout the day.
- 10% — Process packing slips in
QAD:
Verify packing slips and accurately enter receipt information into QAD. Material Handling & Distribution - 30%- 10% — Deliver items internally: Deliver received items to designated locations such as warehouse racks or the Quality department.
- 20% — Additional material handling as needed to support workflow.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Skills & Qualifications- Experience in receiving, warehouse, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Basic computer proficiency (email, file management, ERP systems such as QAD).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move boxes regularly.
- Good communication and time‑management skills.
