Job Description

Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for you! At The Cabinet Shop of Charleston- Ladson SC, we transform living spaces across the Lowcountry. Our employees are the heart and soul of our company, driving our success and innovation. Join our team to contribute your skills in cabinetry while working in a dynamic environment that values craftsmanship and quality! We work 4 (10hr) days per week with overtime as needed on Fridays. Please email your resume to accounting@thecabinetshopofcharleston.com We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Assembler who can also act as our part time Receiving Clerk. Our ideal team member is one who has a passion for high end custom cabinetry & woodworking assembly. Someone who admires a finished product and is proud to put their name on their work. Our new team member will have a keen eye for detail while working to create custom cabinets that meet our clients' specifications. As well as display accountability to self and others. As our part time Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials. You will ensure incoming shipments are inspected for damage and material is delivered to the appropriate departments. Finally, completing the proper paperwork so invoices may be paid. You will facilitate material returns and monitor orders to ensure products arrive in a timely manner.
What We're Looking For:
Assemble high-quality custom cabinets according to technical shop drawing specifications Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, sanders, routers and hand tools safely and efficiently Work with hardwoods, veneers, plywood, and specialty materials Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail Inspect finished products to ensure they meet our quality expectations Maintain clean, organized and safe work environment Understand the importance of accuracy with how it relates to assembly as well as receiving
Requirements:
Experience with trim carpentry, cabinetry/fine woodworking or high-end construction projects Experience in manufacturing environment helpful Ability to read/interpret shop drawings and read a tape measure Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50-80 lbs. throughout the shift in a non-climate controlled facility Have reliable transportation Strong work ethic, team-first mindset (no egos) Reliable attendance and with a desire for a long-term commitment Ability to stay focused and adapt to shifting priorities Self-starter with willingness to jump in and help teammates when needed to meet production deadlines Collaborate with other departments as needed Attention to detail without sacrificing efficiency Proven experience driving a forklift The following experience is a plus: Warehouse operations Material handling Shipping and receiving Construction labor Furniture or cabinet handling Forklift experience (not required)
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
