Job Description

A leading U.S. manufacturer is seeking a Shipping Office Assistan t to support its production in Simpsonville, SC. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, on-time shipments while supporting sales operations, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a shipping or logistics professional who wants to grow their career in a stable, high-performance manufacturing setting. Shipping Office Assistant Responsibilities Prepare and process shipping documentation, including: Bills of Lading Packing slips Customs paperwork Process and verify shipping invoices Ensure shipment accuracy and compliance with company and customer requirements Coordinate less-than-truckload (LTL) freight pickups Maintain organized and accurate electronic shipping records Communicate closely with sales staff to support order fulfillment and delivery timelines Work directly with shipping and manufacturing floor employees to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput Assist shipping team members as needed to meet daily production and shipping goals Support and enforce compliance with the 6S Safety Program Develop in-depth knowledge of cable tray products, services, and manufacturing capabilities
Shipping Office Assistant Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or 3-4 years of hands-on shipping or logistics experience Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred Strong computer and data entry skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage time effectively and meet individual and departmental goals Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Highly organized with strong attention to detail
