Job Description

RECEIVING CLERK

As part of a global operations network, we're scaling innovation, expanding our reach, and building a team that's as committed to our customers' success as we are to our own The Receiving Clerk serves as the "gatekeeper" of a facility's inventory. They are the first point of contact for all incoming shipments, ensuring that everything entering the building is exactly what was ordered, in the correct quantity, and in good condition.
Responsibilities:
Control flow of inbound receiving and move incoming shipments safely and efficiently. Check truck drivers in and out in a timely manner and assign doors as applicable. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery operations. Perform quality inspection on incoming products to ensure that they meet customer requirements. Coordinate lumpers and forklift operators to unload the trucks. Communicate status of receiving activities. Print receiving labels, accurately enter data and perform administrative duties as applicable. Works with Production Planner with exchange of information. Conduct regular physical inventory audits of product to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance. Provide team oversight of container off-loading. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse floor. Perform cycle counts and label trucks. Required to perform other duties as assigned to support the Daye team
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Minimum of 3 years' work experience in a warehouse setting (preferred).
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
Strong computer skills:
Microsoft Office, data entry, etc.
ERP/ WMS
experience (preferred). Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities and on-going improvement projects. Able to lift at least fifty pounds, physically able to move products and perform tasks that may require prolonged standing. Must be a team player who is flexible with the daily duties in a fast-paced team environment.
