$17/hour with increased overtime pay
Job Description:
The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping outbound orders accurately and efficiently. This role ensures products are shipped on time, handled safely, and properly documented while maintaining a clean and organized shipping area.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with both computer-controlled and mechanically based machines Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation Ample opportunities for additional work hours beyond regular shifts Supportive work environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration Responsibilities Process customer orders and off-site warehouse shipments accurately and on time. Assist with loading and unloading of bulk tankers and LTL trucks safely and efficiently. Receive, inspect, and document incoming raw materials and components per established procedures. Conduct cycle counts on warehouse inventory and report discrepancies to the supervisor. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for shipping records, reports, and documentation. Prepare and apply accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and customs/freight documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work area at all times. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to operate a forklift and material handling equipment safely. Exposure to a manufacturing/warehouse environment, including varying temperatures and noise levels. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by site safety policies.
