Description:
Shipping Specialist I Job Description Responsible for supporting the preparation and confirmation of inbound and outbound logistics, including raw material, direct material, MRO, and ATF/NFA-controlled product. Maintains documentation with a high level of attention to detail, interacts with carriers, and ensures inventory accuracy within the department. Reporting Manager, Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities Receive all inbound shipments that arrive via UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc. Verify all documentation associated with inbound shipments, to include quantity and PO confirmation. Assist with all outbound shipments via UPS, USPS, FedEx, and LTL, VLTL and FTL carriers. Packaging items for outbound shipments with proper materials for secure shipment. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Maintain inventory of finished goods (accessories) and soft goods (apparel and misc. items). Utilize our shipping system software as well as the ERP system (NetSuite) to complete shipping/receiving activities. Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and support functions. Collaborate with other departments for shipping/receiving needs. Ability to work in an environment that has a high-volume workload. Must have a very high attention to detail for a variety of daily duties.
Requirements:
Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations 2+ years relevant experience in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution (preferred) Efficient with computers and programs including Excel, Google Docs, etc. Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders Able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion Requires constant standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, including working in and around moving parts, chemicals, lights/lasers, etc. Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Compensation Hourly non-exempt position, including health, vision, dental, & disability insurance, PTO, and 401K benefits.
