Key Responsibilities Shipping Duties Prepare and package outgoing parts orders for shipment (UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, etc.) Process shipping labels and documentation Coordinate deliveries with vendors, technicians, and customers Verify accuracy of outgoing orders Receiving Duties Receive incoming shipments of parts and accessories Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies Verify received items against purchase orders and invoices Report and resolve shipping errors or damaged goods Inventory Management Accurately enter received parts into inventory systems Label and stock parts in correct warehouse or bin locations Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits Maintain organized and clean storage areas Parts Department Support Assist parts counter staff with pulling orders Deliver parts to service technicians promptly Return cores and warranty parts according to manufacturer guidelines Handle returns to vendors Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills (inventory systems, shipping software) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift heavy parts (often 25-75 lbs) Good communication and teamwork skills Valid driver's license (for dealer trades or local deliveries) Preferred Experience Experience in automotive parts or warehouse environments Familiarity with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) Knowledge of shipping carriers and logistics processes Work Environment Fast-paced dealership parts department or warehouse Frequent standing, lifting, and moving throughout the day Indoor and occasional outdoor exposure (receiving areas) Typical Work Schedule Full-time hours May include early mornings, evenings, or Saturdays depending on dealership needs Career Path Opportunities Parts Counterperson Inventory Specialist Parts Manager Service Department roles Team player, positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail and a go-getter personality - Does this describe you?
