Shipping Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shipping Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities Prepare, package, and label products for shipment using appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe delivery. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory levels, process orders, and update shipment statuses accurately. Conduct order picking and packing activities with precision to meet customer specifications and delivery deadlines. Manage shipping & receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders or delivery documentation. Maintain organized storage areas through stocking, replenishing inventory, and ensuring proper placement of products for efficient order fulfillment. Support warehouse distribution tasks by assisting with load & unload procedures, inventory counts, and stock rotation to optimize warehouse flow. Qualifications Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving operations. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and AS400 is highly desirable. Strong basic math skills for inventory counting, order calculations, and data entry accuracy. Experience with order picker equipment and picking & packing processes within an e-commerce or distribution setting preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods, and operating warehouse equipment safely. Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude towards maintaining safety standards in all activities.

Pay:

$21.90 - $22.80 per hour
