Job Description

Shipping Processor Department Warehouse / Logistics / Operations Reports To Warehouse Supervisor or Shipping Manager Job Summary The Shipping Processor is responsible for preparing, processing, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers and distribution centers. This role involves verifying orders, generating shipping labels, maintaining shipment records, and collaborating with warehouse and customer service teams to meet shipping deadlines. Key Responsibilities Process customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently. Verify product quantities, SKUs, and shipping information before dispatch. Generate shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation. Coordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and freight providers. Ensure orders are packed and prepared according to company standards. Monitor shipment schedules and communicate delays or issues to supervisors. Track shipments and update order status in warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems. Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation. Assist with inventory verification and cycle counts as needed. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Support receiving, warehouse, and logistics functions during peak periods. Resolve shipping discrepancies and collaborate with customer service to address customer concerns. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. Experience 1-3 years of shipping, warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience preferred. Experience using shipping software and warehouse management systems is an asset. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of shipping procedures and carrier requirements. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and shipping platforms. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs (or company standard). Comfortable working in a warehouse or distribution environment. Work Environment Warehouse, fulfillment center, or distribution facility setting. May require overtime, weekends, or holiday work during peak shipping periods.
