Job Description

Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate shipment and receipt of materials, parts, and products. This position ensures all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed correctly, documented properly, and stored in designated warehouse locations. The associate will help maintain inventory accuracy, operate material handling equipment, and contribute to a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Shipping Prepare and package parts and materials for shipment according to company and customer requirements. Complete and verify all shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, and carrier paperwork. Coordinate shipments with freight carriers and delivery services. Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurate, complete, and properly documented. Maintain shipping records and update shipment information in the company software system. Receiving Receive incoming parts, materials, and products from vendors and suppliers. Verify received quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and other receiving documentation. Inspect incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly. Accurately enter received inventory into the company's inventory management software system. Maintain organized receiving records and documentation. Inventory & Warehouse Operations Assist with stocking and putting away inventory in designated warehouse locations. Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories. Ensure parts are properly labeled and stored for easy identification and retrieval. Support inventory control efforts by reporting discrepancies and helping resolve inventory issues. Assist in organizing warehouse space for maximum efficiency and safety. Equipment Operation Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move inventory and materials throughout the facility. Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines while operating equipment. General Warehouse Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Assist other departments with material handling and inventory-related tasks as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred. Forklift certification or the ability to become certified required. Experience using inventory management or ERP software systems preferred. Must Have Basic computer skills and data entry experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must pass drug test & background check. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions. Pay:
$18.50 - $20.00 per hour
